The Edward Gengler Memorial Park, also known as Pound Park, is located one block west of Business 141 on Main St (County Q). At the entrance of the park is a Cobra Helicopter that was active in the Vietnam war in 1966. For a small community, our park has a lot to offer its' residence and visitors in amenities and has a family friendly environment. Our park has beautiful trees, green grass, a softball field, playground equipment with a climbing apparatus, slides, swings from infant to adult, merry-go-round and park benches for observing kids having fun. The park offers a pavilion with an open area and closed area (concession stand) along with men and women bathrooms with hot and cold running water. The park is also the home of the Pound Fire Fighters annual fundraiser picnic in June with tractor and truck pulls. Our park is here for all to enjoy!
